RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF ATHLETES - WORLD ANTI-DOPING CODE

Like athletes, support personnel and other persons subject to anti-doping rules all have rights and responsibilities under the World Anti-Doping Code (Code). Part three of the Code describes all the roles and responsibilities of this stakeholder in the anti-doping system.

ATHLETE SUPPORT STAFF AND OTHERS HAVE THE FOLLOWING RIGHTS

to a fair hearing, before an independent hearing panel
Right to appeal the hearing decision
data protection rights, in accordance with the ISPPPI and any applicable local law

ATHLETE SUPPORT STAFF AND OTHERS HAVE THE FOLLOWING DUTIES

use their influence on athletes' values ​​and behaviors to encourage healthy sporting behaviors
know and comply with all applicable anti-doping policies and rules, including the Anti-Doping Rules
cooperate with the athlete doping control program
Cooperate with ADOs investigating anti-doping rule violations (ADRs)
Inform the relevant IF and/or ONAD if it has committed an ADRV in the last ten years
Refrain from possessing a prohibited substance (or a prohibited method), administering such a substance or
method to an athlete, to traffic, to conceal an anti-doping rule violation (ADV) or other forms
complicity and association with a person convicted of doping (prohibited association). These are the VADRs
applicable to athlete support personnel under Article 2 of the World Anti-Doping Code and Article
X of the ADO Anti-Doping Rules.
