The CMA at the Critérium de Monaco - Paco Alonso and Jean-Luc Schopf Trophy

Under a particularly mild sky, some 250 cyclists took part in the eight races which animated the 1330-meter long circuit throughout the day.
The first race, Paco ALONSO Trophy grouping the categories Juniors - Pass'cyclisme FFC / FMC and all categories UFOLEP (French Union of lay works of physical education) -FSGT (Federation sportive et gymnique du travail) - ACSI fought over 28 laps of the circuit.
The second race reserved for Pre-Poussins and Pre-Poussines (from 4 to 6 years old) was contested on 1 circuit while the one dedicated to Poussins and Poussines (from 7 to 8 years old) included 2 laps of the circuit
The fourth race, that of the Pupilles boys and girls (aged 9 to 10 years), opposed the competitors on 3 laps of the circuit;
The fifth race, concerning the Benjamins and Benjamines (aged 11 to 12), had a course of 5 laps;
The race for the Minimes boys and girls (aged 13 to 14) made them complete 20 laps of the circuit;
The Course des Cadets et Cadettes (aged 15 to 16) was completed in 34 laps;
Finally, the Race reserved for Categories 1-2-3- FFC / FMC - “Jean-Luc Schopf Trophy” allowed the public to attend 50 laps of the circuit.

The numerous races organized as part of the essential Critérium de Monaco have enabled cyclists of all ages to share their passion. Here, Mr. Patrice Cellario, Councilor of Government-Minister of the Interior, in charge of sport, gives the pupils a well-deserved trophy.

As part of its prevention mission, the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee held an information stand throughout the day, run by MP Orengo, its president, Dr. M. Tonelli, head of its Prevention Commission, Education, Training, and Mrs. A. Alessio, Head of the Permanent Secretariat. MP Cellario took advantage of his visit to the stand to recall the Prince's Government's constant interest in the action of the Committee and its partners in the service of a cause of general interest. The Committee also fulfilled its control mission by taking samples by its medical samples.

The organizers of this essential event in the Monegasque sporting landscape being particularly involved in the fight against doping, the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee had to be present to fulfill two of its missions: that of prevention by holding throughout the day of an information stand and that of the control by the taking of samples by its doctors.

In this regard, it should be recalled that the Monegasque Cycling Federation (FMC) as a member of the Union Cycliste Internationale is bound by the UCI Cycling Sport Regulations and in particular by Title 14 which forms the Anti-Doping Regulations and that The same goes for the Union Cycliste de Monaco, which is affiliated both to the FMC and to the Côte d'Azur Committee of the French Cycling Federation. The UCM's internal regulations further specify in article 16 that "  The runners undertake to respect all the regulations (sporting, technical, medical and legal) whether national or international. Which naturally includes anti-doping rules.

The Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee, which is delighted with the quality collaboration initiated with the UCM and the FMC in the area of ​​prevention, takes this opportunity to salute the in-depth work accomplished in the Principality by these two partners in the fight against any form of misappropriation of values ​​of sport.

During the awards ceremony at the end of the first half-day of competition, Mr. Patrice Cellario, Government Counselor-Minister of the Interior, in charge of sport, also underlined the constant interest shown by the Prince's Government to the action of the Committee and its partners in the service of a cause of general interest and has, moreover, done us the honor and the pleasure of its presence on our stand: so be it here sincerely thanked, on behalf of all the employees of our national anti-doping organization.
