The Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee present at the Formula One Grand Prix of Monaco and other automobile competitions from June 25-28, 2017
As had already been the case for the Monaco E-Prix which took place in the Principality on May 13, 2017, three experienced agents reporting to the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee, in this case Ms. Heidi Müller, Mr. Rémi Garoscio and Mr. Dominique Lucas, were made available to the Automobile Club de Monaco.
Within the meaning of the International Standard for Testing and Investigations which is one of the constituent parts of the World Anti-Doping Program, in particular composed of the World Anti-Doping Code, several International Standards and Models of good practice and guidelines, an escort is a " official agent trained, and authorized by the Sample collection authority, to perform specific tasks, including one or more of the following (at the option of the Sample collection authority): notification of the athlete selected for collection sample; the accompaniment and observation of the athlete until his arrival at the doping control station; accompaniment and observation of athletes present at the doping control station; and / or presence and verification during sample collection, if training is sufficient, to perform these tasks. ».
This shows how important is the role of chaperone that such an agent plays in the doping control process: on the one hand, he is the first contact with which the athlete has to deal in carrying out the control; on the other hand, he is responsible for the regularity of the different stages of the notification procedure and, where applicable, for his participation in the sample collection procedure.

The Committee thanks the Automobile Club de Monaco for the trust placed in our volunteer collaborators who work for the general interest objective of clean sport.
