The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has just published the Roadmap to compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code (the Code) of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA). This Roadmap sets out the recovery criteria that RUSADA must meet before WADA's Independent Compliance Review Committee (IRC) can recommend to WADA's Foundation Board to re-declare RUSADA in compliance with the Coded. The Roadmap was accepted by RUSADA, the Russian Sports Ministry, the Russian National Olympic Committee and the Independent Public Anti-Doping Commission, all of whom were involved in its development.
Le November 18, 2015, RUSADA was declared non-compliant with the Code following a recommendation in the report of WADA's Independent Pound Commission published on November 9, 2015, which revealed widespread doping in Russian athletics. RUSADA's non-compliance with the Code was confirmed following WADA's McLaren Independent Investigation, which on July 18, 2016, Unveiled an institutionalized manipulation of doping control procedures in Russia.
