Following a correspondence vote by its Board of Trustees, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) today withdrew the Brazilian National Anti-Doping Organization (NADO) from the list of non-compliant signatories. 2015 World Anti-Doping Code (the code). The Brazilian authorities have indeed successfully adopted disciplinary regulations in accordance with the Code to regulate the activity of the recently created disciplinary bodies.
In accordance with Article 23.5.5 of the Code, WADA will inform the Sports Movement and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) of the removal of Brazil's NADO from its list of non-compliant organizations.
WADA continues to work with the last non-compliant signatory (the Russian Anti-Doping Agency - RUSADA) to resolve the remaining issues of that signatory.
