The Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee visited around twenty players and managers from the Federal 2 group of the Monaco Rugby Sports Association, at the Devens stadium on Thursday 27 October 2022, for a new intervention on the main issues of the fight against doping.
As part of the Committee's prevention mission, Andrea Alessio and Dominique Lucas led this moment of information on the risks and consequences of intentional or accidental doping.
This session of lively exchanges lasted more than an hour thanks to the athletes concerned, questioning and sometimes surprised by the subjects developed such as the types of violation of the anti-doping rules, the penalties incurred, the conduct of a test or even the drug test!
This meeting demonstrates once again all the merits of the CMA's action, one of the main missions of which is to inform athletes on a complex subject that is often poorly understood by the main stakeholders. The team of the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee is above all a partner of the Principality's sports movement, concerned with protecting athletes and the sports they practice and upholding the values that sport must uphold, such as ethics that he must respect.
The Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee thanks the Association Sportive Monaco Rugby for its welcome.
