The CMA and the Covid-19

The Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee, whose raison d'être rests above all on the preservation of the health of athletes, naturally places public health, safety and social responsibility at the top of its priorities.

Support for nursing staff and compliance with instructions

First of all, its control officers are all healthcare professionals working in hospitals or in towns and have been or are still strongly involved in their priority nursing mission. The Committee expresses its support, its deepest gratitude and its pride to see them, as always, committed to the service of the common good.

Secondly, like what its counterparts have done in their respective countries, the Committee has scrupulously respected the measures taken and the instructions given by the Prince's Government intended to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic - which has led it to suspend and reduce some of its programs, particularly in terms of controls and educational activities while remaining active, in particular through the teleworking that it set up on Monday March 16.

Message to athletes

Thirdly, aware of the impact that the pandemic has on the activities of athletes in this period when they must, like everyone else, deal with health and societal measures of a scale and a binding nature unmatched until here, he knows to what extent these measures, despite the lifting of confinement, have and will undoubtedly continue to disrupt their training programs on the one hand and are generating uncertainty as to the competitions in which they planned to participate, somewhere else.

This is why the Committee is putting online the document drawn up by WADA in conjunction with its Athletes' Committee, which aims to answer certain questions that athletes may be asking themselves. If you want to read it, we invite you to consult it here.

Prepare for the future
