The CMA intervenes with the ASM Handball

Taking advantage of the winter internships of ASM Handball, the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee went to the AS Monaco club house to intervene with the young trainees.

Dominique Lucas and Grégoire Montigny first offered a discovery session to the youngest, categories U11/U13. The theme was: " what is doping? ". Questions such as why to dope, who is doping, for what reasons or even is it cheating, allowed to open the debate with young handball players interested and full of ideas.

The afternoon was then devoted to the oldest, category U17. This second session, more in-depth and pragmatic, aimed to raise awareness and protect these athletes, already practicing in competition. The topics discussed during this session were the presentation of anti-doping organizations, rule violations and their sanctions, the risk associated with the consumption of drugs, supplements and cannabis as well as the different sources of information available to athletes.

The Committee warmly thanks ASM Handball, always proactive in the fight against doping.
