The Diamond Kalian team retains its title at the Prince Rainier III Challenge. The CMA attended the hotly contested final (3-2) and handed the Committee Cup to the unfortunate finalist, the Civil Service team.
The association known as the “Prince Rainier III Challenge Organizing Committee”, the Executive Committee of which is chaired by Mr. Christian Michelis, is the essential pillar of corporate sport in the Principality of Monaco.
In addition to the Prince Rainier III Challenge, an eleven-a-side football championship intended for employees of companies in the Principality created in 1975 at the initiative of HSH the Sovereign Prince and implemented by Joseph Destefanis, it organizes another eleven-a-side football championship. Monaco City Trophy, created due to the large number of teams which made it impossible to maintain a single corporate football championship, a 7-a-side football Challenge, a so-called Seven Monaco competition and the Prince Albert II football cup. 7.
After several months of forced inactivity linked to the COVID-19 pandemic, the final of the 2020 edition of this event was able to take place on June 21 at the Didier Deschamps Stadium in Cap d'Ail, opposing the team of the Civil Service to that of Diamond Kalian, winner of the 2019 edition. The latter team was able to keep its trophy after a hotly contested match that ended with a score of 3 to 2.

Due to the fact that this event is an example of fair play, the joy of playing and, more generally, respect for the intrinsic values of sport, the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee was able, thanks to the commitment of the members of the Executive Committee of the Organizing Committee, join in this final by awarding a cup intended for the unhappy finalist team to reward it for the very good course that led it to the final.
Thus, after the handing over by HSH Prince Albert II of His cup to Mr. Stéphane Partis, captain of the victorious team, and under the benevolent eyes of MM. Joseph Destefanis to whom Monegasque corporate sport owes so much, Blaise Giffoni, Deputy Vice-President and Gilles Frasnetti, Deputy Mayor of Cap d'Ail in charge of youth, sports and community life, the Chairman of the Committee his side awarded the Finalist Cup to Mr. Jérémy Cotton, captain of the Civil Service team.
In addition, the trophy for the best player of the match was presented to Mr. Jonathan Correia Da Fonsaca by Mr. Frasnetti while the referee Mr. Claude Castrofolio received from the hands of Mr. Destefanis the souvenir trophy of the final.
Wishing good luck to the winner who will participate in the third edition of the FIFA World Cup Five-a-side in Dubai in October 2021, the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee, honored to have been associated with this final, impatiently awaits that of the 2021 Prince Albert II Cup.
