Having covered some 543,125 km, the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee is proud to be associated with the No Finish Line organized by Children & Future
For the second time, the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee took part this year in the No Finish Line.
Scheduled from Saturday November 16 at 14 p.m. to Sunday November 24, 2019 at 14 p.m., the 20rd edition of the No Finish Line took place in difficult atmospheric conditions and had to be interrupted after 171 hours of racing on Saturday 23 November due to severe weather, after a participant was victim of a wave submerging the Digue de Fontvieille.
The CMA would first like to express to the victim its wishes for a good recovery and assure him of his compassion.
If the twentieth anniversary of this solidarity event was not the celebration we were all hoping for, it nevertheless enabled a sum of 351 euros to be donated to support projects in favor of disadvantaged or sick children, the Children and Future having decided to donate € 151 per km instead of the traditional euro.
The Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee, benefiting from the participation of 20 runners in total who have covered an average of 21,491 km, was not unworthy by finishing 130rd out of 347 participants.
Even if this result quite close to that of 2018 (19 runners with an individual average of 28,586 km) remains quite far from what he intended to do, it is honorable given the fact that in reality only 18 people have was able to participate fully, the President and the permanent secretary having been able to take part only one evening because of various commitments making them unavailable for the other days of the race.
It is therefore mainly thanks to its project manager, Mr. Bottin, and 17 of its occasional or volunteer collaborators that the Committee was able to save the honor.
He will renew his commitment for the next edition and will try to be as enduring as Hercules, a key figure in his logo, was during one of his twelve labors when he pursued the Erymanthian boar.
