Year 5 students at Rainier III College are being made aware of the values of sport and anti-doping.

The Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee (CMA) conducted awareness sessions for 5th grade students at Collège Rainier III throughout the week of June 15th, held in the school gymnasium. In total, nearly 180 students participated in these sessions.

The aim of this meeting was to introduce students to the essential concepts of anti-doping while highlighting the fundamental values of sport. Through interactive discussions tailored to their age, the middle school students discovered the importance of respecting the rules, equal opportunities for athletes, and the risks that doping poses to health and the integrity of sport.

Raising awareness was particularly important since the majority of the students encountered were members of sports federations, some already competing at a high level in their respective disciplines. These sessions allowed them to better understand the responsibilities that come with participating in sports and the importance of promoting clean sport from a young age.

The theme of fair play was central to this intervention. In order to put the values discussed into practice, the students participated in a badminton session during which their behavior, their respect for opponents, referees, and the rules of the game were closely observed.

To recognize these exemplary attitudes, an award was presented to the three students who demonstrated the best sportsmanship throughout the session. This initiative served as a reminder that athletic performance is not measured solely by results, but also by the attitude displayed on the field and respect shown to others.

The CMA thanks all the students and the educational team of Collège Rainier III for their welcome and involvement, which contributed to the success of this awareness campaign.
