First annual information and discussion meeting with all sports stakeholders in the Principality
The Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee held its first annual information and discussion meeting with all sports stakeholders in the Principality on February 27, 2017 at the auditorium of the Lycée Technique et Hôtelier de Monaco.
During this meeting, which was associated with the Department of the Interior of the Prince's Government, the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Philippe Orengo, presented all the international and national components of the legal framework from which the missions devolved to this national anti-doping organization as well as the reciprocal obligations they create for the Committee and the sports movement, the modalities of effective collaboration between all the parties concerned and, finally, the means by which the strategic priority of '' improvement of the Principality's compliance rate with international commitments made within the framework of the UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport, the Council of Europe Anti-Doping Convention and the World Anti-Doping Program which notably includes the World Anti-Doping Code.
Secondly, Mr. Patrice Cellario, Government Counselor-Minister of the Interior, presented a communication relating, firstly, to the coordination of sports events organized in the Principality and, secondly, to the process of preparation of the draft law on sport by taking stock of the process undertaken, the problems identified and the orientations envisaged at the current stage of the consultation which is under way.
