The Foundation Council of the World Anti-Doping Agency will take place on November 20, 2016.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Foundation Board will meet on November 20, 2016 in Glasgow, Scotland.
The desional body

The Council, which has 38 members, is WADA's decision-making body. It is made up equally of representatives of the Olympic Movement and governments.
The Foundation Board meeting will be open to the media. It will be followed by a press conference hosted by WADA President Sir Craig Reedie and WADA Director General Olivier Niggli.
The agenda of the Foundation Board will focus on the development prospects for the world anti-doping system. The Council will take into account the consensus reached at the meeting of the first WADA think tank, which took place on September 20, and which was approved by the WADA Executive Committee the following day. Participants called for strengthening WADA, as well as greater independence and sanctioning powers. It will also discuss the results of the Olympic Summit on October 8, the Government Forum to be held on November 17 and 18, and other channels. Following the November meeting, a roadmap will be drawn up, in particular to provide for further consultations aimed at strengthening key anti-doping activities, and to guide the future of the system.
Here are other common and operational topics that the Foundation Board will address:
• The second report of the McLaren Inquiry scheduled for publication in late October 2016;
• WADA's new whistleblower program;
• The compliance status of signatories to the World Anti-Doping Code (the “Code”), and the consequences of non-compliance;
• The next World Conference on Doping in Sport; and
• The 2017 budget.
The Foundation Board meeting will be preceded on November 19 by a meeting of the WADA Executive Committee; it will not be open to the media. The mandate of the Executive Committee is to develop the policies of WADA. It has 12 members and is made up equally of representatives of the Olympic Movement and governments.
