On April 3rd, two junior players from the Tennis Club of Monaco and their coach were received at the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee for an awareness session organized with their coach, on the sidelines of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters tournament.
This intervention provided an opportunity to discuss the role and missions of the Committee, the TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption), the various violations of anti-doping rules and the associated sanctions, the risks associated with food supplements, and the regulations concerning cannabis.
The players were also made aware of the process of an anti-doping control, the principle of objective responsibility of athletes, as well as the issues related to health and sporting integrity and finally we presented them with the CMA MED application, allowing for quick verification of the conformity of medicines.
