Independent organizations
It is the National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs) signatories of the World Anti-Doping Code, such as the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee, which are independently responsible for monitoring their country's athletes in and out of competition.
To be recognized by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), they must :
- accept the rules and principles of the Code,
- amend its rules and policies to include the mandatory articles and principles of the Code;
- apply its amended rules and policies in accordance with the Code.

Other organizations
Other institutions or bodies are also signatories to the Code and are recognized by WADA. This is the case, for example, of International Olympic Committee or World Athletics (formerly the International Athletics Federation). Their full list is available here.
