On April 6, 2017, nearly 400 9th grade students from the School in Monaco (Collège Charles III, Collège FANB and Lycée Technique et Hotelier – SEGPA), divided in 76 teams, took part in the 4th Princess Charlene Rallye.

The event was organized by Monaco’s Department of Education, Youth and Sport in collaboration with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, Peace and Sport and the APEM (Parent-Teacher Association of Monaco). The Rally was comprised of a timed running race and three workshops – a sports competition (1,200 meters on a rowing machine), a teamwork-based event (using stretchers to bring victims to safety at the Aquatic Rescue Center of Monaco) and lastly an intellectual challenge (multiple choice test questions).

Indeed, the Committee shares the view of HSH Princess Charlene of Monaco that « sport can change a person, save his/her life, empower individuals and give an extraordinary destiny », and can only be committed to its Foundation’s purposes which is turned, according to its own words « to those children who can become responsible adults if we show them the way through the values of sport and solidarity ». Likewise, convinced as Peace & Sport that sport is a pedagogical tool of great importance, the Committee which intends to continue working with the Directorate of National Education, Youth and Sports, has wished to be present at this educational event by ensuring one of its missions of general interest involving the establishment of values of sport through prevention, education and training against doping.

He also took the opportunity to renew its support for the « WhiteCard » campaign launched by Peace & Sport, as evidenced by photos representing all those who participated in the success of the 2017 edition of the Princess Charlene Rally.
